Mixed‐Methods Approaches in Special Education Research

چکیده

Mixed-methods research can uniquely inform special education practice by combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. However, its distinct features also make mixed-methods difficult to understand apply. In this article, we provide an introduction purposes, designs, quality considerations help practitioners critically consume apply type of when working with students learning disabilities their families. We describe three sample studies illustrate designs contributions. Our take-home message is that (a) requires unique practices meaningfully combine approaches in a single study (b) be particularly useful for informing real-world contexts.
